1. Review subject fireplace opening and determine if there are any special circumstances (such as demolition of existing unit) that must be addressed prior to beginning the Fireplace Mantel, Surround, and Hearth Installation.
2. Carefully prepare the site for the process that is about to begin by utilizing drop cloths, etc.
3. Put the Hearth in place to test fit it in the space provided. Properly locate the Hearth per specifications provided in the Installation plan.
4. Remove the Hearth, make adjustments if necessary and re-fit. Place the proper amount of mortar in mounds where the Hearth will be placed (see photo). Be sure the mortar level is consistently greater than the Hearth so that when the Hearth is placed, it compresses the mortar evenly.

5. Carefully place and level the Hearth.
6. Put the Veneer in place to test fit it in the space provided. Properly locate the Veneer per specifications provided in the Installation plan.
7. Remove the Veneer and make any necessary adjustments.
8. Place the Veneer face down and apply bonding material every 6 to 8 inches. In the spaces left between the bonding material apply specified two-part epoxy (see photo). Apply epoxy around the entire perimeter.

9. Carefully place and fasten the Veneer (utilizing the specified hardware) to the metal firebox and / or the wall. Fastening holes may be pre-drilled into the stone to accept the mounting hardware.
10. Put the Legs in place to test fit it in the space provided. Properly locate the Legs per specifications provided in the Installation plan.
11. Remove the Veneer and make any necessary adjustments.
12. Once completed, place the Legs face down and repeat the bonding methods used in step 8.
13. Carefully place and fasten the Legs (utilizing the specified hardware) to the wall.

14. Put the Mantel in place to test fit it in the space provided. Properly locate the Mantel per specifications provided in the Installation plan.
15. Remove the Mantel and properly locate and install a header (see photo) onto the wall for the Mantel to be fastened to.

16. Once completed, place the Mantel face down and repeat the bonding methods used in step 8.
17. Carefully place and fasten the Mantel (utilizing the specified hardware) to the wall. Fastening holes may be pre-drilled into the stone to accept the mounting hardware.
18. Carefully mask off the wall to prepare for Grouting.
19. Apply Grout as specified in the Installation Plan.
20. Installation is complete, remove all masking materials and clean as necessary.
